Machine Design Engineer
ABOUT THE JOB: Rate of Pay:
$80,000+ annually (depending on experience) Schedule:
Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Location:

Full-Time, Permanent JOB SUMMARY: The Machinery Design Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of machinery design, from concept through completion. This role involves working closely with production teams to create advanced thermoforming equipment that meets high standards of efficiency, reliability, and performance. The position requires technical expertise, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure the delivery of top-quality custom machinery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD 2D, etc.) Perform engineering calculations and simulations to verify structural integrity and performance Create and maintain technical documentation, including blueprints and specifications Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to select and integrate components Specify motor horsepower, gearbox torque, bearings, and shafts for various applications Apply knowledge of materials science, mechanics, and manufacturing processes in design Ensure welding methods and processes are integrated effectively into designs Work closely with production and other departments to address design challenges and optimize performance QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proven experience in machinery design and development Proficiency with CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD 2D, etc.) Strong understanding of materials science, mechanics, and manufacturing processes Familiarity with welding methods and processes Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to completion BENEFITS:
