The Department of Surgery at Stamford Hospital seeks an experienced BC/BE fellowship trained trauma surgeon to join our Trauma Division. Join a collegial team of 5 surgeons seeking an additional provider due to Surgery Department growth. This position is 50% Trauma Surgery and 50% General Surgery and includes teaching surgery residents and medical students. As a Level II trauma center, Stamford Hospital currently has over 800 trauma admissions. The Hospital is a physician-led community academic medical center with comprehensive surgical services in all surgical subspecialties. The Department of Surgery has a free-standing surgical residency program and is affiliated with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. . Responsibilities include trauma care, surgical critical care, general surgery, acute care surgery and teaching surgery residents and students.
