Start your journey with us. We are looking for a Senior Director of Actuarial Services to play a key role in strengthening our Fortune 6 global organization. This position offers the chance to lead cross-functional teams and to influence senior leadership in adopting innovative strategies. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of UnitedHealth Group while driving the development of business strategies and managing large, complex projects that align with our key business objectives. In this role, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you tackle challenging projects. Primary Responsibilities: Provide strategic actuarial direction to align growth with profitability goals. Lead and conduct actuarial analysis and services for trend projections and pricing assumptions. Collaborate with pharmacy benefit management (PBM) and clinical partners to formulate network, formulary, and rebate assumptions. Contribute to the development of actuarial Part D pricing and forecasting methodologies. Review pricing models and evaluate their sensitivity. Assess impacts of strategic benefit changes and legislative reforms. Engage in the Part D bid submission process. Participate in the forecasting process, analyzing drivers and variances. Communicate findings and results to stakeholders effectively. Oversee the workload and professional development of a small team of actuarial analysts. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designation 8+ years of actuarial experience Experience with Part D pricing or forecasting Proficiency in working with large datasets Advanced proficiency in MS Excel Beginner or higher proficiency in SAS (Statistical Analysis System), SQL (Structured Query Language), or other programming languages Preferred Qualifications: Experience in building models using SAS, SQL, or related programming systems Advanced proficiency in SAS or SQL All employees working remotely are expected to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Compensation is based on various factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility requirements).
