AWS/CES is seeking a Process Engineer for our automotive manufacturing client in Clinton, TN Location: Clinton, TN Schedule: Direct Hire Pay rate:$65k-$95k DOE About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing, improving, and sustaining aluminum die casting processes to ensure high-quality standards and efficient production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, introduce new technologies, and help drive the success of our operations. What You'll Do Optimize Processes: Develop, troubleshoot, and improve aluminum die casting processes to boost quality, yield, and cycle times. Tooling & Equipment: Partner with toolmakers and maintenance teams to ensure dies, tooling, and equipment meet production requirements. Laser Marking: Oversee and improve laser marking processes, including 2D matrix codes for traceability and quality assurance. Auto Deburring & Trim Pressing: Manage these operations to ensure parts meet design specifications and quality standards. Distortion Control: Use distortion tables to monitor and correct warping, ensuring dimensional accuracy. Quality Control: Ensure all die-cast parts meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. Process Design & Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements for cost reduction, energy efficiency, and waste minimization. Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into process failures or quality issues and implement corrective actions. Documentation: Maintain detailed records, SOPs, and reports for process changes and troubleshooting. Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to align engineering with manufacturing. What We're Looking For Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or HS Diploma/GED with 4-6 years of related experience). Experience: 3+ years in aluminum die casting or metal casting engineering. Strong knowledge of aluminum die casting processes. CAD software proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Familiarity with simulation tools, metallurgy, and tooling design. Hands-on experience with auto deburring, trim pressing, and distortion tables. Fanuc robotics/automation experience preferred. Certifications: Lean Six Sigma (preferred).
