Strictly adhere to department policy and procedures for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility. Utilize safe patient handling techniques. Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components. Ensure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Injection certification preferred; must be willing to complete during the orientation process. Knowledge of imaging equipment preferred.
