Our School Cobble Hill Playschool is a NAEYC-accredited preschool that has served Brooklyn families for almost 50 years. We are a nonprofit parent cooperative, which means we place a premium on parent involvement and the home-school connection. Our unique and vibrant preschool program is play based, child centered, and deeply rooted in developmentally appropriate, research-based best practices. We utilize an emergent curriculum model and believe strongly in the innate capability of all young children. Our school year runs from August 25th through June 19th, and our schedule of paid holidays loosely follows the NYC public school calendar. In addition to our core preschool offerings, CHP runs auxiliary programs including a robust afterschool program during the school year and a joyful, play-based summer camp that extends into July. These programs offer families flexible care and enrichment while remaining aligned with our child-centered mission and values.
