Project Director Of The Veteran's Upward Bound Program

The Project Director has overall administrative, academic, and supervisory responsibility for the Veterans Upward Bound project at The Catholic University of America. The Project Director will lead and participate in the recruitment, and selection of participating veterans in the program; recruit, select, hire, supervise, and evaluate all project personnel; manage all budgetary matters for the program including financial decisions and recordkeeping; be responsible for the maintenance of student and employee records; oversee curricular development and delivery; conduct program evaluations; ensure compliance with federal regulations The Project Director is responsible for meeting, or making best efforts to meet, the university's committed grant metrics in areas including enrollment numbers and student outcome metrics. The Project Director manages project expenses to make sure that they are prudent, allowable under grant rules, and consistent with grant expenditure limits. The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $65,500-70,500/yr. Responsibilities

Develops policies and procedures to meet specified performance metrics. Directs day-to-day operations. Participates in recruitment and selection of participants. Ensures compliance with legal and ethical standards. Maintains academic and budgetary records. Monitors the budget and approves expenditures. Chairs the Veteran's Upward Bound Advisory Committee. Serves as liaison to other stakeholders both within and external to the university. Serves on university committees as assigned. Represent the Dean as needed. Represent the Metropolitan School of Professional Studies and the University with an engaging, helpful, team-oriented demeanor consistent with the university's mission and Roman Catholic character. Supervise subordinates effectively. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Master's degree in education, counseling, guidance, educational psychology, educational administration, social work, or closely related field. Veteran status is preferred. Experience as a low-income, first-generation college student is preferred.
