Summary Join a nationally recognized public accounting and advisory firm as an Audit Manager specializing in real estate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional to lead high-impact engagements with a portfolio of real estate clients including REITs, funds, developers, and property managers. You'll play a critical role in managing full audit cycles, mentoring staff, and delivering insightful financial reporting all within a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead audit and review engagements for real estate clients including REITs, funds, developers, and property managers Manage all phases of the audit process: planning, staffing, fieldwork, and final reporting Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff to support their professional development Apply audit procedures to real estate valuation models (e.g., DCF, cap rates, comps) Conduct technical research on complex GAAP, GAAS, and industry-specific issues Maintain proactive communication with clients and ensure strong, long-term relationships Deliver high-quality, timely audit reports and financials Support firm-wide initiatives in recruiting, staff development, and business growth Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field CPA license (or actively pursuing certification) 4+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on real estate clients Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS Proven track record of supervising and developing audit teams Familiarity with real estate valuation approaches and reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Engagement, GoFileRoom, CCH, Checkpoint, PPC is a plus Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style High degree of accountability, adaptability, and integrity Please Do Not Apply If You:
