Job Description Accounts Payable & Grants Management Manager!

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to bring your skills to a mission-driven organization? We're hiring an **Accounts Payable and Grants Management Manager** to lead financial operations that support programs making a real difference.

In this role, you'll manage accounts payable and ensure accurate, compliant administration of grant funds. You'll collaborate across teams, streamline processes, and ensure financial clarity and accountability at every step.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

Oversee daily AP operations using tools like Bill.com and Tallie for invoice processing, vendor setup, and payments Ensure expenses are properly coded, documented, and approved in line with internal policies Maintain vendor relationships and resolve any payment issues Manage credit card transactions and support users with expense and travel systems Assist with monthly close and year-end reporting, including 1099 preparation Grants Management

Collaborate with program and development teams to understand grant terms and ensure compliance Monitor budgets, allocations, and expenses to ensure alignment with funder guidelines Prepare timely, accurate financial reports and maintain audit-ready grant files Support project managers with labor allocations and spending analysis Reconcile restricted fund and grant activity in the general ledger Finance & Internal Controls

Assist with internal audits, control reviews, and process improvements Monitor spending trends and flag inconsistencies Help improve financial systems and documentation related to grants and AP Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable and grants management, preferably in a nonprofit setting Strong understanding of GAAP, fund accounting, and federal/state grant compliance Proficiency in Sage Intacct (highly preferred), Bill.com, Tallie, and Excel Familiarity with Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or Martus (budgeting software) is a plus Highly organized with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Work Environment

Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Occasional overtime during reporting periods
