Responsibilities:
• Manage the engineering introduction of new interior trim accessories from concept into production.
• Create cutting edge parts for interior systems focusing on quality, reliability, functionality, mass and cost efficiency
• Work interactively within a cross functional studio, marketing and vehicle engineering teams, understanding the business case of each particular project
• Develop and implement benchmarking and testing plans and activities to deliver a continued improvement in product.
Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in vehicle interior trim accessories or SVO (special vehicle operations) design & development. This includes design related experience with at least some of the following areas: • Interior ornamentation • Brightware • Mechanisms • Soft goods • Previous experience and background in solving complex technical issues and challenges. • Proven experience creating complex CAD schemes and models to an excellent standard, preferably using CATIA V5 or V6 • Proven experience with thermoplastic & thermoset resin materials and class A manufacturing technologies (including painting) • High and Low Volume Production methods. • Launch experience.

Education: • Bachelor of Science (minimum) in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
