Position Summary:
As a Dining Room Server at Keeneland Hospitality, you are responsible for providing prompt, professional, and courteous food and beverage service to guests in one of the most prestigious and fast-paced hospitality environments in Kentucky. You help create a memorable dining experience by delivering high standards of service in line with Keeneland's tradition of excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional table service with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency in accordance with Keeneland standards. Welcome and engage guests with genuine hospitality, maintaining a polished and positive demeanor throughout their experience. Offer knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage pairings. Take accurate food and beverage orders, input them into the POS system, and coordinate seamlessly with kitchen and bar teams. Ensure timely delivery and proper presentation of all menu items; anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs and preferences. Knowledge regarding menu, Keeneland history, ability to offer direction to guest and walk them through service procedures. Maintain clean and well-set dining areas before, during, and after service. Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including responsible alcohol service. Uphold the Keeneland culture by fostering a spirit of collaboration, respect, and high standards among teammates. Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous serving experience in upscale or fine-dining environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and attention to detail. Comfortable working long hours on your feet in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and composed during high-volume periods, while delivering gracious service. Must be at least 18 years of age. Food handler certification and alcohol server training (or willingness to obtain) required. Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and early mornings during live race meets and special events Licensing Requirements :
A valid Fayette County Food Handler's License is required for all food and beverage staff. Must be obtained prior to the first scheduled shift. A Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers. This license will be provided to you on behalf of Keeneland upon hire.
