The Student Success Coach fosters the development of students’ skills, behaviors, and habits that contribute to success in college and beyond. The coach works with students to identify and overcome obstacles to learning, promote academic self-efficacy, and connect them with appropriate resources across the University. This position plays a key role in supporting all new students, with a primary focus on first-year students, and contributes directly to Roosevelt University’s retention and student success goals.

There is an expectation to be on the Chicago campus 4 days a week with 1 remote day. The standard work hours are either 9AM-5PM or 10AM-6PM with occasional nights and weekends required.

The salary range for this position is $49,500-$50,500

Minimum of two (2) years of experience working directly with students in an educational setting (student worker, part-time, or full-time professional role). Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, including first-generation and Pell-eligible students. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret student data and use it to inform support strategies Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Student Development, or a related field. Experience with predictive analytics platforms (e.g., EAB Navigate, EdSights) and student communication systems (texting/chatbots). Experience supporting students on academic probation or in recovery/re-engagement programs. Bilingual or multilingual proficiency. Equipment Operated Standard office equipment (computer, copier, phone, etc) Working Conditions Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds of weight or pressure). Regular use of desktop computer is required, calling for frequent hand/wrist movement and repetition. Priority Application Instructions Departmental Contact Information Essential Job Functions Duty and Responsibility Student Coaching & Skill Development:

Provide individualized academic coaching in study skills, time management, decision-making, and self-advocacy for early-college students. Support students in developing self-regulation strategies to promote academic self-efficacy and persistence. Create and maintain customized academic roadmaps for students who are out of sequence with the standard curriculum (academic recovery or probationary students). Conduct personalized outreach and ongoing coaching support for students who have stopped out or are at risk of stopping out, encouraging re-enrollment and persistence. Percentage Of Time Percentage Of Time 40 Duty and Responsibility Data-Informed Student Interventions & Re-Engagement:

Interpret and apply results of predictive analytics ( EAB Navigate, EdSights) and non-cognitive assessments to identify at-risk or stopped-out students. Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, and Enrollment Management staff to design personalized support and re-engagement plans. Partner with Student Success and Enrollment Management teams to track progress and outcomes of re-engagement outreach. Collaborate with departments and offices across the University to strengthen the referral process and increase student engagement with campus resources. Provide guidance on navigating university systems, including transfer articulation processes. Work closely with faculty, advisors, and student success staff to design, implement, and assess student support initiatives.
