ABOUT THE ROLE The Entry-Level Maintenance Technician is an essential team member in our rock crushing processing plant, responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing crucial equipment such as crushers, conveyors, and sizing screens. This position requires a night shift schedule. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Conduct site walks to observe the functionality of crushers and conveyors. Perform cleanup tasks using manual methods and operating a skid steer. Engage in maintenance activities including greasing bearings, changing drive belts and gearboxes, replacing rollers and bearings, adjusting crushers, welding, fabrication, and performing oil changes. Collaborate with team members in changing plant modes. Advocate for and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, fostering a culture of safety. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Practical experience with equipment repairs in rock or sand mining settings. Familiarity with operating and maintaining heavy machinery. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform demanding physical tasks in various weather conditions. Self-starter with a solid work ethic. Additional Requirements: All successful candidates must follow safety protocols and utilize Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven for proper seal fit to pass mandatory tests. This position involves shift work, including callouts and potential overtime, which may include weekends and holidays, with adjusted schedules on short notice as necessary.
