Lead
Maintenance Mechanic Schedule: Day Shift
Summary: We're adding a key player to our maintenance team-someone who can roll up their sleeves, lead from the floor, and keep fabrication machinery in top shape. If you're the kind of person who prefers boots-on-the-ground leadership over desk jockeying, this might be your next stop.
You'll be responsible for guiding day-to-day maintenance activities, making repairs, coordinating with other departments, and helping build a smarter, more organized maintenance process. You'll take ownership of equipment reliability, track work through our maintenance software, and be the go-to person for problem-solving on shift.
Perks • Direct influence in shaping maintenance processes in a hands-on leadership role • Stable day shift-no nights, no rotating schedules • Work with solid techs who know their stuff • Strong hourly pay with long-term potential • Full benefits package
Your Daily Breakdown • Coordinate repair schedules and PM tasks with a team of 3 techs • Use digital tools to log downtime, schedule service, and keep tabs on performance • Tackle mechanical issues on fabrication machines-think presses, cutters, conveyors, and more • Keep documentation up to date and help the team follow maintenance procedures • Pitch in with hands-on work while setting the tone for accountability and teamwork • Work across departments to limit unplanned downtime and support production flow • Focus on continuous improvement: better processes, better results, safer systems
What You Bring to the Table • 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience or an Associate's in a relevant field • At least 5 years of hands-on repair work in a manufacturing setting • Solid grasp of mechanical systems-hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, gearboxes • Comfortable with 480V systems and able to navigate basic PLCs • Prior experience mentoring or guiding other maintenance techs • Can read and work from blueprints and electrical diagrams • Takes pride in keeping equipment running and downtime low • Wants a lead role but still likes turning a wrench
This role isn't about managing from a distance. It's about being in the middle of the action-leading by example and making sure things run the way they should. If that sounds like you, let's talk.
