In the role of Area Professional Services Manager, you’ll be a key leader in the Texas Gulf Coast operation, providing leadership and mentoring across our organization. Your responsibilities will include: Developing, coordinating, monitoring, and improving technical competencies of area staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers. Leading and monitoring the development and training of area staff in technical and business competencies. Overseeing workload balancing and work-sharing in collaboration with Area Business Group Managers to ensure qualified staffing of project teams. Assisting with daily operations, including project oversight, management reviews, financial management, and driving profitability at the project level. Leading quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities and striving for continuous improvement. Supporting and assisting Area Business Development Leads in client management plans. Leading activities for continuous improvement, including the development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices, and lessons learned. Participating in project reviews and supporting project teams with claims and loss management. Leading the Area mentoring initiative. Overseeing technical and digital delivery evolution in collaboration with subject matter experts. Working with the Area Manager to streamline and coordinate business processes in line with policies. Ensuring the implementation of quality standards and best practices. Engaging in community activities and serving as an HDR ambassador. Collaborating with operations, market sectors, business classes, and delivery leaders. Participating in strategic planning and its implementation across business groups. Supporting hiring and retention of key staff. Serving as a champion for BGX opportunities. Supporting communication and coordination within all business groups. Representing local leadership for quality and supporting the Quality Management System implementation. Supervising the Area Quality Records Coordinator. Aligning Area Operations and Project Delivery with HDR and industry best practices in collaboration with Regional and National Directors. Serving as Technical Director and/or Quality Control Manager for large, complex projects or programs. Performing other duties as needed in conjunction with the Area Manager. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading and managing transportation engineering projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum 15 years of experience. Professional or engineering registration and extensive related technical expertise. Experience managing and developing diverse teams. Cooperative work with operations, technical, and marketing managers on professional services efforts. Commitment to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
