OVERVIEW A highly regarded, mission-driven affordable housing organization in western Massachusetts is seeking a
Property Manager II
for a newly developed community in Ludlow. This is a
fully onsite
leadership role focused on the lease-up of 43 units, with additional portfolios totaling
111 units
in the area. This opportunity is ideal for a property management professional passionate about compliance, resident engagement, and community impact.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead the successful lease-up and management of 43 newly constructed housing units Manage 2 additional sites in the area, totaling 111 units Develop and implement an all-electronic, paperless filing system for property operations Provide cross-portfolio support and act as a resource for teams during construction and transition phases Manage vendor and contractor relationships; collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Rural Development, and Fair Housing regulations Conduct community outreach, facilitate resident orientation, and resolve tenant concerns Oversee maintenance, unit turnovers, and capital improvements Monitor budgets, prepare reports, and ensure regulatory adherence across assigned properties WHY YOU MATTER As Property Manager II, your leadership directly shapes the experience of residents and the operational success of a vital affordable housing community. WHAT IT TAKES
5+ years of property management experience (or equivalent with a Bachelor's degree) Experience managing new construction or major renovations with system/process overhauls Strong knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, Rural Development, and Fair Housing compliance Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; Yardi Voyager experience preferred Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills Ability to train staff and improve internal processes Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record Ability to travel locally during the initial lease-up period CORI/MVR required THE PERKS!
$64,000-$75,000 annual salary (based on experience) 20 days accrued paid time-off during year one 15+ paid holidays annually Health, dental, and vision insurance options
