JOB SUMMARY
The primary duties of the night auditor include checking front office, restaurant, and bar accounting records for accuracy, posting and balancing charges and settlements promptly, and compiling financial information. They assist guests with check-in and check-out, provide hotel services information, and ensure a courteous and friendly guest experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
This summary outlines primary responsibilities and qualifications. The hotel operates 24/7, so shifts may vary.
Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Reports by auditing Micros tapes/journals, including revenue, covers, tips, and settlements.
Run audit reports/journals and make necessary corrections or adjustments.
Handle computer issues during shifts.
Input revenue, expenses, and allowances into the system to generate daily reports.
Balance revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset systems for the next day.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller or Assistant Controller.
Ensure reports and backup vouchers are complete and properly filed.
Distribute copies of documents and reports to relevant departments.
Review and correct discrepancies in the Front Desk System.
Coordinate with front desk and restaurant/bar closing to ensure smooth operations.
Greet guests warmly, assist with check-in/out, and provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
Verify credit cards, handle cash, vouchers, and other payments accurately.
Answer phones professionally, take messages, and handle mail and packages.
Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
Maintain a neat appearance and assist other front desk staff as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of accounting operations including accounts receivable and payable.
Basic math skills and proficiency with a 10-key calculator.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to use computers accurately and efficiently.
Fluent in English, with excellent telephone etiquette.
Ability to observe and respond to emergency situations.

Stand and move throughout the front office area.
Lifting up to 25 pounds.
Occasional twisting, bending, reaching, and walking.
Frequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling.
