Senior General Manager

The Senior General Manager oversees daily operations for two restaurants within the same building, ensuring seamless coordination between both locations. This role requires strong leadership, multi-unit management skills, and the ability to mentor a team of managers. The FOH Managers and Kitchen Managers (KM) of both restaurants will report directly to you. Success in this role means fostering strong relationships with your managers and guiding them in creating a positive work culture for their teams. You will oversee all aspects of both restaurants while maintaining financial health, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Manage vendor contracts and invoices, ensuring proper uploading to XtraChef. Oversee and coordinate communication between the FOH and BOH staff across both restaurants. Prepare and manage shift schedules while maintaining payroll targets (35% in-season, 42% off-season including benefits). Send out weekly events and sales expectations. Monitor labor across both restaurants, addressing inefficiencies with the leadership team. Support payroll processing and ensure accurate time entries across both locations. Arrange onboarding for new employees, including training schedules, uniform orders, and signing off on orientation. Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations, including third-party health inspections. Monitor reviews across platforms, respond appropriately, and implement improvements based on guest feedback. Manage cash control for both restaurants, ensuring proper handling and secure storage of funds. Work with KMs to keep both menus fresh, relevant, and realistic. Team Leadership & Training: Train FOH and BOH staff in both locations on protocols and procedures using 1Huddle. Ensure all team members maintain necessary certifications (Title 4, ServSafe). Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with both restaurant teams. Monitor management teams for compliance with policies and procedures. Provide feedback and document disciplinary conversations via 7shifts. Events & Catering: Oversee the Event Manager for private dining and special events across both locations. Train staff on best practices for catering services. Support development and updates to the catering menu for both restaurants. Qualifications: Ability to pass a required background check. 21+ years old. Up-to-date Food Handler Management, Title 4, and Title 4 Management Certifications. 5+ years of experience in bar/restaurant management, preferably in multi-unit operations. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work experience as a Restaurant Manager, General Manager, or similar leadership role in the hospitality industry. Familiarity with restaurant management software such as Toast and 7shifts. Strong financial skills, including labor management and reporting. Excellent customer service mindset, communication, and team management abilities. Availability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
