Description

Position Overview: The Director of Development participates in the overall leadership of the organization, seeking to represent the mission and values of CCG in every way. S/He is responsible for overseeing all fundraising activities of the organization, including the macro perspective of fundraising trends that influence our strategies and execution. In collaboration with the President, s/he designs an annual strategy to reach key fundraising goals, then oversees the execution of that strategy. S/He is responsible for all fundraising activity, donor relationships (either personally or through assignment), donor fulfillment, annual fundraising campaigns and appeals, and distribution of those donations for the intended purposes. S/He contributes strategically to all capital campaign activities, overseeing a team that ensures major campaign targets are reached. S/He coordinates alumni relationship efforts and oversees anyone engaged in alumni activities. Key Duties Lead Development Department

Recruit, lead and manage the development team into a unified department that influences the organization in positive ways Construct an annual department budget and then manage that budget within acceptable financial limits, including all expenses and staffing of the department Design and implement annual fundraising strategies that effectively reach all donation goals and then execute that strategy

Grow T Bar M's Culture of Generosity

Create strategic pitches around CCG mission and vision and make strategic asks to donors in person or virtually Initiate new fundraising approaches that creatively engage donors and increase that donor population Grow our capital campaign in support of ongoing construction Grow our recurring gifts campaign in support of scholarships and investment Build and cultivate relationships with current and prospect CCG donors Support engagement of alumni relationships to increase engagement

Oversee Development process

Track monthly donations including accurate donation records, database management, and fundraising reports Oversee the distribution of donations in line with donor preferences Oversee foundation grant applications and explore new grant opportunities Manage the T Bar M Volunteer Network, recruiting and engaging them in ways helpful to the organization

Organizational/Office Skills

Ability to multitask Collaborative mentality - we are a team-based ministry Effective time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines Proficiency in CRM / database management Adherence to budget restraints and ability to make decisions factoring in quality and cost

Education/Proven Experience

Experience in donor development or some related work experience that contributes to fundraising effectiveness (e.g., Sales) Ongoing education or maintenance of fundraising certifications that build further credibility and expertise
