CUNY SPS SEEK Program:
The SEEK program is designed to support previous New York State Opportunity Program transfer students in pursuing and completing their first bachelors degree fully online. The program provides students with a myriad of services such as tutoring, academic support & advising, and financial support. The SEEK program works with prospective students, applicants, and current students. As a member of the SEEK team, the SEEK College Assistant will support the processes to recruit, admit, enroll, and retain students each semester. More specifically, in this role the Admissions Assistant will provide critical support as the office processes SEEK applications and working with current SEEK students in a timely and accurate manner. The SEEK College Assistant stays informed on all policies and processes to provide accurate and timely support to the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the intake, review and processing of SEEK Program applications
Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to the SEEK email account
Coordinate student events and workshops for the academic year
Assist in the preparation and delivery of student workshops and events during the academic year and summer may co-facilitate sessions under staff supervision
Help monitor SEEK email, voicemail and text inboxes by providing exemplary customer service via all forms of communication, as well as in-person
Conduct student outreach for all SEEK students via email, text and phone call
Support the documentation and updating of all business activities, including but not limited to operational tasks that are part of processing SEEK applications and maintaining accurate records, in the Schools various admissions systems
Provide cross-functional program support as needed
Create engaging flyers and content to promote student events
Perform other related duties, as assigned
Preferred Minimum Qualification:
High school diploma/GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree/Bachelors degree from an accredited college
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems including CUNYfirst
Commitment to understanding admissions application and student enrollment processes
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on achieving results and contribution to effective problem-solving
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new computer applications quickly
Experience with using Canva and Swoogo (event management system)
