Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations with diverse populations from children to seniors using both standardized tests and observational reviews. Create individualized treatment plans that capture both immediate goals and long-term communication or swallowing objectives. Deliver personal speech therapy sessions that target areas like language, voice, fluency, and swallowing. Work in partnership with a multidisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches. Provide education to patients and their families to reinforce development outside of your clinical sessions. Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain consistent care throughout a patient's journey. Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all regulatory and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to stay at the forefront of the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification by ASHA is not yet attained. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days after employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-driven treatment methodologies across all age groups, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Adept at tailoring therapy strategies to honor diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Excellent clinical judgment paired with solid problem-solving skills.
