Job Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories. Aid in evaluating and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results. Work collaboratively with surgeons to devise and implement individualized surgical treatment plans for patients. Provide critical intraoperative support, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments throughout procedures. Extend exceptional pre- and post-operative care, including medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education. Education
A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Completion of clinical rotations emphasizing surgical experiences is strongly preferred. Certifications
Current and valid
PA-C
certification. Certifications in
BLS
and
ACLS
are required. State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant. Skills
Strong understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques. Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic tests and contribute to complex clinical decision-making.
