Key Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, which include physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories Assist in the identification and evaluation of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results Work hand in hand with surgeons to develop and implement individual surgical treatment plans Provide crucial intraoperative support by preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and seamlessly passing surgical instruments during procedures Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which encompasses medication administration, wound care, discharge planning, and thorough patient education Qualifications
Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program Completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgery is highly preferred Certifications
A current and unrestricted
PA-C
certification BLS
and
ACLS
certifications are required State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant Essential Skills
