Description Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric through geriatric demographics, employing both standardized assessments and hands-on observational techniques. Create individualized treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions designed to enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Engage with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care approaches. Provide educational guidance for patients and their families to bolster therapeutic progress beyond clinical settings. Contribute to inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a unified approach to patient care throughout the treatment process. Maintain meticulous documentation aligned with federal, state, and organizational regulations. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborations with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensing as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
