Job Responsibilities Assess individuals across various age groups utilizing standardized tools and observational assessments. Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing objectives. Implement individualized speech therapy interventions concentrated on language, articulation, fluency, voice control, and swallowing techniques. Engage collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to ensure comprehensive care. Provide essential education to patients and their families to foster progress beyond the therapy sessions. Participate in rare inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, guaranteeing a seamless continuum of care. Keep meticulous records compliant with all necessary regulations and guidelines. Stay abreast of advancements within the field through continuous learning and collaboration with peers. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Licenses & Certifications
Current state licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Essential Skills
Expertise in evidence-based practices across all demographics, with a thorough comprehension of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues. Strong communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Adept at adapting therapeutic approaches to honor diverse cultural and linguistic perspectives. Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
