Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), maintains a State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: abdominal, pelvic, (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally is proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotum) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations. Need a candidate who can start immediately, expediated checklist can be used. Facility Requirements:
Must have ARDMS or RDCS certification, this must be attached to the submission. Required - Candidate must have 3 years recent General OB/GYN, Abdomen & Vascular Tech experience. Preferred if the candidate also has Echo tech experience; the facility is also willing to train. Must have BLS certification must be attached to submission packet (Must be through the American Heart Association).
