Overview:

Join a compassionate healthcare team supporting OB/GYN physicians by managing both clinical and administrative tasks. This role involves assisting with patient care, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards in a busy outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities: Support physicians and licensed medical staff by obtaining patient vital signs and updating charts. Collect and process lab and pathology samples following established protocols. Perform quality and safety checks on testing equipment and supplies. Provide patient education under provider guidance. Administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies as directed. Assist providers during procedures and examinations. Prepare and handle reusable instruments for sterilization. Dispose of biohazard and pharmaceutical waste according to OSHA guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment following infection prevention standards. Manage front desk duties including greeting patients and scheduling appointments. Assist with coding and billing processes, coordinating with insurance and healthcare partners. Monitor electronic communications and respond promptly. Perform components of well visits and scheduled nursing visits as directed. Complete all required documentation prior to provider visits. Perform high-level disinfection procedures and float to other clinics as needed. Education and Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with national certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Experience:

Preferred: Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in an outpatient setting. Skills and Abilities:

Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations promptly. Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and providers. Physical ability to perform clinical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Comfortable handling potentially infectious materials with appropriate precautions.
