TES Dispensing Pharmacist
in
Montgomery
. In this role, you'll be responsible for accurately filling and labeling prescriptions, maintaining inventory, tracking controlled substances, and overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy.

Temporary Employment Services (TES ), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university.TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
Assistance with special projects
Seasonal work
Emergencies

Essential Functions
What You'll Do in This Role:
Ensure Accuracy & Safety
- Review, verify, and fill prescriptions while overseeing those prepared by technicians and students to ensure precision and compliance.
Monitor Controlled Substances
- Track and regulate controlled medications, including those dispensed through vending machines, to ensure prescriptions are valid and properly managed.
Educate & Support
- Provide clear and helpful information on pharmacy procedures to students, staff, and patients as needed.
Maintain Records
- Keep detailed and accurate documentation of drug usage to support compliance and operational efficiency.
Patient Care & Guidance
- Answer questions, counsel patients on proper medication use, and provide expert advice on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
Must be licensed as a pharmacist or eligible for licensure in the state of Alabama.
Knowledge of Federal and State guidelines and laws related to the management, storage, and dispensing of prescription medications.
