Job Responsibilities
Assists Manager in the smooth functioning of the department; interacts with customers to assure proper supplies and equipment are obtained and delivered. Monitors computer systems to assure proper functioning and orders are placed. Maintains accurate and predetermined levels of inventory in assigned area. Processes and maintains accurate records for receipts and supplies through the Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) as assigned. Serves as a liaison between Supply Chain and customers for product and equipment usage and availability. Investigates and resolves service problems, issues and concerns; strives for continuous quality improvement of products and services provided by department. Typical Physical Demands: Essential: standing, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity, pushing/pulling usual weight of 5 lbs up to 40 lbs, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Frequent: sitting, repetitive arm/hand motions. Occasional: stooping/bending, squatting, twisting body, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting usual weight of up to 35 lbs, pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 lbs to 75 lbs, carrying usual weight of 15 lbs up to 30 lbs, repetitive arm/hand motions. Operates computer, printer, calculator, copier, telephone, patient care equipment, supply/exchange carts, Omnicell. Typical Working Conditions: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Work environment may be stressful while interacting with departments, staff and outside facilities. Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certification and Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent education. Certified as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred. Experience: Two (2) years experience in central distribution, materials/supplies management, or inventory control. Prior customer service experience. Prior experience with computer hardware and software systems. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing and understands verbal and written communications.
