Design Engineer (Aerostructures/ CAD)
Location: East Windsor, Connecticut Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Relocation bonus Must have work experience: Mechanical/Aerospace degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aerospace structures design, CAD Modeling U.S. citizen / GC is required AutoCAD, CATIA V5 is required Working knowledge of ENOVIA is essential Work experience in developing Engineering Assembly & Installation Drawings/Models for Aero Structural Parts along with the tolerance of assembly and components is must to execute the tasks Job Responsibilities: Reading and understanding the legacy drawings of aerostructures parts Reviewing the legacy drawings in Tiff format and digitizing in AUTOCAD Design engineer in this position will be responsible for converting 2D drawings into 3D CAD using Catia V5 Creating variety of aircraft structural parts like Bulkheads, Stringers, Stiffeners, Frames, longerons, splice plates etc. Ensuring the quality of the 3D models matching legacy 2D inputs (TIFF / PDF) The selected candidate must be competent in aspects of engineering drawings depicting aero structures product details, assemblies, and Installations Capable of reading BOM Duties will include model creation, view depiction, generation of proper nomenclature, and the application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Compensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
