High-profile, ground-up builds in healthcare & commercial sectors Position Summary: The Senior Project Engineer plays a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This position supports project managers and field teams by managing submittals, RFIs, procurement, scheduling, and document control. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, leadership ability, and in-depth knowledge of construction processes and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to ensure successful project execution. Manage and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement logs, and project schedules. Oversee document control systems to ensure accurate and timely distribution of drawings, specifications, and revisions. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and maintain construction progress. Review project drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps, conflicts, and constructability issues. Assist with schedule updates, look-ahead planning, and coordination meetings. Analyze and review cost reports, assist in managing project budgets and forecasts. Lead project meetings, produce meeting minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items. Support quality control and safety initiatives in coordination with field teams. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices and project standards. Assist with project closeout, including as-builts, warranty documentation, and owner turnover. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in construction project engineering or management, preferably in healthcare, commercial and industrial. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel). Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of contract language, change management, and risk mitigation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Design-Build, CMAR, or public works projects. OSHA 30 certification or similar safety credentials. Seniority level
