Senior Electrical Engineer
Design Alaska is a multi-disciplinary architectural, engineering, and land surveying firm based in Fairbanks, Alaska, dedicated to creating spaces that strengthen our communities. We are seeking talented Electrical Engineers with leadership attributes and management expertise. We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our six-person electrical engineering department. This is a leadership role for a licensed professional who is excited to contribute to a team, guide technical development, and participate in projects across Alaska. Desirable Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - Professional Engineering (PE) license - Five plus years of experience in building systems design, power distribution, lighting, or similar - Strong leadership and mentoring abilities - Collaborative approach to problem-solving and project delivery - Commitment to high quality project completion Responsibilities Include
- Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated team of electrical engineers and EITs - Oversee and contribute to the design of power, lighting, and signal systems for commercial, government, and institutional projects - Collaborate with in-house architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, and fire protection engineers - Help set technical standards, improve quality processes, and support staff development - Engage in client meetings and planning efforts to support successful projects Benefits
