Electrical Design Engineer

Engineer will assist experienced Project Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Directors to complete projects and deliver a best in class client experience.Job SummarySupport the electrical and lighting design of systems from various projects-including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systemsDevelop calculations using engineering formulas and skills for design such as lighting calculations, power distribution calculations, and equipment sizingDevelop one-line diagrams or branch circuitryProvide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by draftersResearch design options, code issues and ask general questions of code officials and document findings for Project Designer/EngineerPerform construction administration and field investigation tasks for lighting, power and fire alarm systemsEnsure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standardsKeep Project Manager/ Sr. Engineer informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional servicesAttend project meetings and site visitsQualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar3-5 years of experienceRevit experience preferred, expert in AutoCADUnderstanding of applicable design and building codesRepresentative tasks at times include walking the site with clients and partners, doing site surveys and performing other tasks that may have you: carrying, moving, and climbing ladders, to gain access to infrastructure covered by drop ceilings; and crawling, bending, reaching to gain access to and assess building systems.
