Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for their headquarters in Lathrup Village, MI! In this role, youll architect, implement, and optimize enterprise network, telecom, and storage infrastructure while mentoring junior team members and ensuring a secure, stable environment for business operations. What the right candidate will enjoy: Direct hire opportunity with long-term stability Onsite at company headquarters in Lathrup Village, MI (not a remote position) Collaborative enterprise environment with career growth potential Required Qualifications of the right candidate: Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience/certifications 8+ years of progressive network and security experience Advanced Cisco knowledge consistent with CCNP-level skills (CCNP preferred) Expert knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, and routing protocols (BGP) Strong experience with firewall systems (Checkpoint preferred), load balancers, and web filters Familiarity with telecom services (MPLS, ISP, voice services, etc.) Experience with VoIP, PBX, SIP, unified messaging, and voice system administration General knowledge of servers and their integration into network environments Strong communication skills for presenting technical solutions to leadership and peers Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, voice, wireless, and security infrastructure Serve as a senior design engineer creating standards and architectural blueprints Mentor and guide less experienced IT staff while serving as a technical advocate Troubleshoot and maintain network hardware, software, and connectivity issues Oversee vendor management, contracts, and service level relationships Document and maintain network standards, infrastructure diagrams, and procedures Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation and after-hours work as needed Support IT operational processes including change, incident, and problem management Seniority level
