Reach Truck Operator

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to support our Aquaculture Business by handling picking tasks in our outbound shipping or production areas. The Material Handler will be integral to ensuring accurate and efficient movement of parts as per Sales Orders and Production Tickets. Responsibilities include operating a reach truck to move parts and orders, transferring orders in the inventory system using SAP, reading production tickets, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed, counting, weighing, measuring, or examining packaging and contents for conformance to company packing specifications, preparing invoices, dates of shipment, bills of lading, and list weight and serial numbers of items sold, along with shipping labels, identifying quality issues and following proper notification processes, accurately completing material movements in the MRP system and moving items to predetermined delivery areas, performing light assembly work, and completing other duties or assignments as assigned by the manager. Essential Skills include 2+ years of experience with reach truck and forklift operations, proficiency in material handling, RF scanner usage, and SAP ERP/MRP systems, intermediate computer skills and familiarity with inventory, loading, and warehouse operations. Additional Skills and Qualifications include forklift certification and ability to pass testing for Reach Truck, Stock Picker, and Propane, ability to read sales order and shipping documents, proficiency in reading measuring tools such as scales, tape measures, and calculators, flexibility and teamwork capabilities, basic math skills, understanding of WMS systems including picking, putaway, and material movements, prior experience with RF scanners, and ability to lift 50+ lbs. Occasionally, you might work in areas with noise levels that necessitate hearing protection or in temperature/weather extremes, including outdoor settings at times. Work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona. The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr.
