This position offers a
$7,500 Sign-On Bonus for External Candidates . Key Responsibilities: Provide reassurance to patients to help ease their anxiety regarding radiation therapy. Set up and position patients accurately to ensure precise delivery of radiation treatment. Clearly explain the treatment process to the patients. Perform daily warm-up and checks of treatment machines, documenting any irregularities to the Senior Therapist. Ensure simulator equipment operates correctly, reporting any issues to the Chief Radiation Therapist. Employ proper immobilization devices for patient positioning during simulations and guide patients on how to facilitate the process. Generate high-quality radiographs for treatment simulations. Safely tattoo treatment areas when necessary. Maintain thorough communication by keeping audio and visual contact with patients throughout their treatment. Schedule daily treatment sessions and maintain accurate patient marks during the treatment course. Communicate possible adverse reactions to patients and accurately notify healthcare providers as needed. Ensure patients have weekly consultations with the Radiation Oncologist and verify weekly weight checks. Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Completed a formal training program in Radiation Therapy. Valid Nevada state license. Current CPR certification. Registered with ARRT in Radiation Therapy. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience of 1+ years as a Radiation Therapist. Familiarity with Aria, Varian linear accelerators/Truebeam, GE CT scanner/simulation, SBRT/SRS. Capable of handling radiation-producing equipment. Some lifting may be required. The pay for this role ranges from $34.23 to $61.15 per hour based on full-time employment.
