Overview:

Join a dynamic healthcare distribution team as an Associate Supply Technician I, supporting the efficient delivery of medical supplies and equipment across various departments within a regional medical facility in the Southeastern United States. This part-time, variable shift role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care by ensuring timely and accurate supply distribution.

Key Responsibilities: Provide supplies to walk-in customers, ensuring proper documentation and account tracking using the MMIS system. Process and separate web requisitions, distributing orders to appropriate departments. Stage and deliver special order supplies and equipment, obtaining signatures for verification. Break down pallets, verify items, manufacturer codes, expiration dates, and quantities, and organize inventory. Operate manual or electric pallet jacks safely to transport supplies. Manage mailroom duties including sorting, processing, and delivering mail and packages. Maintain cleanliness in distribution areas such as receiving docks and inventory locations. Communicate effectively with purchasing, vendors, and requestors regarding inbound supply issues. Receive and verify Prime Vendor EDI transmissions into the MMIS system, ensuring accuracy of orders. Perform scheduled rounds to deliver supplies and equipment from Central Supply and complete urgent (Stat) runs as needed. Assemble specialty kits for restocking units. Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols, including sanitizing work areas before and after shifts. Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations. Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous hospital or healthcare supply experience preferred. Skills and Abilities:

Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to daily operational changes. Discretion in handling confidential information. Capable of following written and verbal instructions accurately. Physical Requirements:

Ability to see and hear adequately. Endurance for continuous walking and standing. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and push carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
