Associate Supply Technician I - Per Diem

Summary:
This role involves delivering requested supplies and equipment from the Distribution department to various user departments within the facility. All tasks are performed under the direct supervision of the Distribution Supervisor or designated Charge Technician.
Major Job Functions: Provide supplies to walk-in customers, ensuring proper documentation and accurate issuance using the MMIS system. Process tickets from MMIS Web requisitions, separating and distributing orders to departments as needed. Stage orders for delivery to external customers and deliver special order supplies, obtaining signatures for verification. Break down pallets and organize inventory, verifying item details such as manufacturer codes, expiration dates, and quantities. Operate manual or electric pallet jacks safely to deliver supplies and equipment. Manage mailroom duties including sorting, processing, and delivering mail and packages. Perform routine cleaning in the department, including receiving dock, inventory locations, and mailroom areas. Communicate effectively with purchasing, vendors, and requestors regarding inbound supply issues. Utilize documentation and spreadsheets to support performance improvement processes. Receive and verify Prime Vendor EDI transmissions into the MMIS system, ensuring accuracy of quantities, descriptions, and backorders. Pick up, return, and sanitize work areas before and after shifts. Conduct scheduled rounds to deliver requested supplies and equipment from Central Supply. Perform urgent (Stat) supply runs as necessary. Assemble specialty kits for restocking units. Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Experience:
Previous hospital experience is preferred.
Requirements and Skills:
Ability to interact well with colleagues across departments, excellent customer service and communication skills, critical thinking, flexibility to adapt to daily operational changes, multitasking ability, and discretion in handling confidential information. Must follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Physical Requirements:
Must have adequate vision and hearing, be able to withstand continuous walking and standing, lift objects up to 50 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
