Technical Sales Executive
to grow our advisory business in North America (US). As a member of the sales team, you will be responsible for presenting, introducing, and marketing ULs renewable advisory capabilities in North America, including wind and energy resource assessments, asset advisory, and due diligence services. The role can be remote in the US. Responsibilities
Grow ULs renewables advisory services portfolio, including energy advisory and yield assessments, feasibility studies, Independent Engineering, and asset advisory to renewable developers, utilities, operators, lenders, and investors. Proactively identify new customers, attend industry events, lead discovery calls, and plan customer visits to foster new relationships and business. Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing UL customers in collaboration with other members of the sales team. Lead proposal generation with a clearly defined scope and understanding of client required deliverables, establishing a budget that satisfies client expectations. Support continuous improvement of the proposal process. Listen to client needs, introduce capabilities and team, and present solutions to potential customers. Develop and maintain account plans to achieve key account growth goals. Build depth within assigned accounts, especially with technical and economic buyers and influencers. Bring in additional technical resources (e.g., engineers) when needed to support advisory sales opportunities. Work closely with operations and marketing teams to move opportunities through the sales funnel. Represent the company at tradeshows, technical conferences, workshops, and business development meetings. Qualifications
Experience in Value Driven and Enterprise Selling. Strong technical background with the ability to understand renewables technical risks. Minimum 5 years of experience in the renewables industry, understanding project development lifecycle, market drivers, and technical challenges in wind/solar energy sectors. Exposure and/or understanding of project financing and M&A transactions. Business acumen and deep understanding of sales processes. Ability to work effectively across departments to ensure timely delivery of proposals. Active team player, self-starter, multitasker, capable of adjusting priorities quickly. Ability to build and maintain long-lasting client relationships. Self-starter with good scheduling and prioritization skills. Proficient in MS Office and CRM software. Ability to manage multiple technical sales opportunities and provide technical guidance in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications include pre-existing networks within US developers, sponsors, and lenders, and a good understanding of renewables due diligence, software, and digital applications. Total Rewards : Estimated annual compensation ranges from $122,500 to $148,750, including base salary and performance incentives.
