Meyer, FL WORK HOURS Monday Friday, 7am 4pm Full time regular position, team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers. Mandatory overtime may include some Saturdays and Sundays. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Feather Steamer/Dye Shop Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of feathers for various applications, including the sorting, steaming, and dyeing of feathers. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Quality Control- Assist in inspecting, sorting and preparing feathers for before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met. Steaming- Operate steamers to shape, open and sterilize raw and dyed feathers, while maintaining proper techniques to achieve the desired aesthetic. Dyeing Operations- Support dyeing operations by sorting, tying, washing and drying feathers according to established protocols. Equipment Maintenance Assist in the regular maintenance and cleaning of dyeing and steaming equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Record Keeping- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including processing times. Team Collaboration- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production goals, assisting in other areas of the shop as needed. QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

Ability to carefully follow instructions and maintain high standards of quality and precision. Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting/moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in textile processing or related field is a plus. Prior experience in a manufacturing or textile processing environment is preferred but not required, willing to train motivated individuals. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
