Catering Manager

The Catering Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily catering operations to ensure timely delivery, high-quality service, and client satisfaction. This includes managing preparation for special and large-scale events, supervising catering staff, and ensuring operational excellence. The role also involves hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of the catering delivery team. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, highly organized, and possesses strong communication skillsboth written and verbal. As Catering Manager, you will lead the department in training new associates, coordinating event setups, and managing temporary personnel, while ensuring proper service standards are upheld throughout each event. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise all catering events and ensure timely execution. Oversee event logistics, sanitation, and facility-related activities. Collaborate with the Chef to develop customized menus. Train catering associates in service techniques, presentation, and customer service. Monitor labor and food costs for each event. Maintain strong communication with management, clients, customers, and team members. Support all foodservice-related activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year in a management role. Proven experience in catering, with background in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or healthcare settings. Strong understanding of food and catering trends, with emphasis on quality, sanitation, cost control, and presentation. Financial and budgetary skills, including basic accounting.
