At the Hockomock Area YMCA, we believe that everyone deserves access to healthy food. We're looking for a caring, organized, and mission-driven individual to join us as aFood Access Inventory Lead at Lenore's Pantry & Market, 251 Elm Street.
This part-time role (20 hours per week) is at the heart of our Food Access Program. You'll play a hands-on role in ensuring our shelves are stocked and our neighbors are served with dignity and care.
What you'll do: Transport and pick up food, supplies, and donations from community partners, including the Greater Boston Food Bank Manage and organize inventory in our pantry warehouse Support day-to-day pantry operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for families Work closely with our team to keep food flowing where it's needed most Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification and to safely perform duties requiring physical exertion, including lifting, carrying, and extended periods of standing or walking. Must be able to drive the YMCA box truck and complete required training/certification to do so. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfort with the physical demands of lifting, transporting, and stocking food A team player with a positive attitude A passion for helping others and advancing the Y's mission to address food insecurity in our community
