The City of Seabrook is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-service-focused

Court Clerk II

to join our Municipal Court Services team. This role performs a variety of intermediate-level administrative, clerical, and technical duties to support daily court operations while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional customer service in person, by phone, email, fax, and online chat regarding fines, payment plans, court settings, warrants, and related inquiries.

Collect, reconcile, and record fines, fees, bonds, and payments using Incode software.

Process citations, bonds, pleas, and open records requests in compliance with laws and policies.

Assist defendants with payment plans, community service, deferred dispositions, compliance dismissals, and driving safety courses.

Prepare and maintain court dockets, legal documents, and courtroom setups.

Coordinate with judges, prosecutors, law enforcement, attorneys, and the public.

Support collection efforts, case compliance reviews, and dismissal processing.

Serve as backup support to Court Clerk I as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

At least

two (2) years of experience

with court policies and procedures.

Two (2) years of general office, clerical, or customer service experience.

Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record.

Texas Municipal Court Clerk Level I Certification

required.

Must obtain TLETS certification within 12 months of hire.

Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required, Incode software preferred.

Bilingual skills preferred.

Prior cash-handling and reconciliation experience preferred.

Working Conditions

Work performed in an office or courtroom setting.

Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to meet vision and auditory requirements for effective performance.
