What You’ll Do

As an Automotive Assembly Technician, you’ll work closely with a small, collaborative team to build high-quality electric shuttle buses. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time

Perform assembly tasks with precision, ensuring components are installed within specified tolerances

Troubleshoot fabrication or assembly issues and communicate solutions clearly

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area — everyone sweeps, everyone cleans

Conduct quality control checks to ensure all products meet performance and safety standards

Lift and carry up to 35 lbs as needed

Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with OSHA safety guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive repair (mechanical and/or body), maintenance, or assembly

Familiarity with hand tools, metal fabrication tools (grinders, saws, drills), and automotive shop equipment

Ability to work with minimal instruction, meeting targets for timing and quality

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship

A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed

Must pass a pre-employment drug screening

Optional Qualifications

Welding experience (GTAW/GMAW on mild steel)

Forklift certification

Work Environment

Primarily on the production floor; standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods required

Work around adhesives, paint primers, and sawdust

Must be able to work in and around elevated vehicles and potentially hazardous machinery
