Overview: Our client is a pioneering leader in high-performance analog semiconductors, driving the advancement of wireless networking technology. With a comprehensive product portfolio and deep technical expertise, they are committed to connecting people and devices worldwide, continuously and seamlessly. As a principal-level engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team focused on developing power amplifiers, RF switches, and front-end modules for the dynamic, high-volume cellular handset market. This role offers a unique opportunity to participate in every stage of product development—from specification and circuit design to testing and production support. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with Analog/RFIC design specialists to develop RFICs for cellular applications, including components like LNAs, RF switches, attenuators, and other RF/analog elements. Partner with system engineers and module design teams to define detailed specifications, monitor design progress, and address performance or circuit issues as they arise. Required Skills and Experience: Proven expertise in transistor-level CMOS or SOI RFIC design, with a strong foundation in basic device physics. Advanced skill in developing and utilizing linear/nonlinear models and simulation techniques, translating theoretical models into real-world applications with validated device performance. Proficiency in RF and microwave engineering, including impedance matching, passive circuit design, noise and linearity optimization, circuit stability, and electromagnetic theory. Strong simulation capabilities using tools like Agilent ADS, Momentum/EMX, HFSS/CST, and Cadence. Experience with microstrip, stripline, laminate, multi-chip module (MCM), and passive circuit design (e.g., couplers, baluns). Practical lab experience for data analysis, troubleshooting, tuning, and product debugging. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively within a team. A self-driven team player with a passion for learning and bringing products from concept to high-volume production. Preferred Qualifications: MSEE with 8–10 years of experience or BSEE with 12 years of experience. Compensation and Benefits: Starting base pay will be based on factors like relevant experience, skills, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. The client offers varying base pay ranges across U.S. locations. Benefits include healthcare options (with a premium-free medical plan), a 401(k) plan with company match, an employee stock purchase program, and paid time off, including vacation, wellness days, and parental leave. Eligible employees may also participate in an incentive program, with additional awards like recognition and stock available for certain roles, contingent on individual and/or company performance.
