Requisition ID: 76002 When you join our Mobile Solutions team, you’ll join a uniquely collaborative, multi-discipline engineering community supporting each other across our domestic design centers creating cutting-edge products for global markets. You’ll be paired with a mentor to help support you as an integral part of our design team. As an LNA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of SOI RFICs for mobile handset applications. Responsibilities

Work with experienced analog/RF IC design experts in developing cellular-band RFICs with stand-alone or integrated LNA cores, RF switches, attenuators, controllers, and various RF and analog functional blocks. Interface with system engineers and module design teams to:

Create detailed specifications Define performance requirements Execute design and simulation activities Report design progress Collect, track, and resolve performance and circuit design issues

Required Experience and Skills

- BS + 12 years experience, MSEE + 8 years experience, or PhD EE + 5 years experience - Knowledge of transistor-level CMOS or SOI RFIC design - Ability to develop and use advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques, translating between models, simulation, physical implementation, and measured device performance - RFIC performance optimization using RF and microwave engineering principles - Proficiency with simulation tools, analog and RF circuit test characterization techniques and equipment - Good communication skills, problem-solving ability, prioritization, progress reporting, schedule adherence, and strong teamwork skills - Solid understanding of RF/microwave fundamentals such as impedance matching, RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, circuit stability, and electromagnetic theory - Relevant experience in micro-strip/strip line stack-up/laminate/MCM, PA, LNA, RF switch design, or passive circuit design like integrated passive devices, couplers, and baluns - Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing tools like Agilent ADS, Momentum/EMX/Sonnet, HFSS/CST, and Cadence, with the ability to translate between models, simulations, physical implementation, and measured performance - Lab skills in data collection/analysis, debugging, tuning, and troubleshooting The typical base pay range for this role in the U.S. is USD$126,500 - $241,700 annually. Starting pay depends on experience, skills, education, business needs, market demand, job duties, and location.
