SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Banquet Bartender
to join our team. This position requires exceptional mixology skills, wine knowledge, and the ability to deliver impeccable service during high-end weddings, corporate events, and exclusive celebrations. The ideal candidate will combine technical bartending expertise with refined hospitality skills to create memorable experiences for our discerning clientele. By delivering
impeccable service , the Banquet Bartender will uphold La Bahia Hotel & Spa's service standards (inspired by Forbes) while elevating our beachfront property.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITY:
Craft premium cocktails, wine selections, and specialty drinks according to hotel standards Execute custom cocktail menus designed specifically for individual events and client preferences Maintain extensive knowledge of craft spirits, wine varietals, champagne, and artisanal beer offerings Prepare large-volume cocktails for events ranging from intimate gatherings to 300+ guest celebrations Ensure consistent quality and presentation across all beverages served Set up portable and permanent bar stations in various event spaces including ballrooms, terraces, and outdoor venues Manage multiple service points simultaneously during large-scale events Coordinate with banquet service staff to ensure seamless beverage service timing Handle high-volume service periods while maintaining personalized guest interactions Execute wine pairings and champagne service for multi-course dining experiences Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, cocktails, and spirits to enhance guest experience Engage guests with professional, friendly demeanor while maintaining luxury service standards Accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences including non-alcoholic specialty beverages Handle guest requests and customizations with flexibility and expertise Maintain composure and excellence during high-pressure event situations Monitor and manage bar inventory levels throughout events Accurately track consumption and waste to support cost control objectives Assist with pre-event beverage ordering and post-event inventory reconciliation Maintain proper storage and rotation of perishable items and premium spirits Report any discrepancies or equipment issues to management Follow all sanitation, safety, and service standard protocols Maintain impeccable grooming standards, wearing the assigned uniform exactly as specified (proper fit, cleanliness, and presentation at all times Wear the official hotel lapel pin prominently as part of the uniform requirement, unless embroidered onto uniform Perform all other duties that may be assigned as needed by your manager The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
(3-5) years of experience in high-volume, upscale bartending environment, luxury hotel and/or resort preferred Experience in banquet or event bartending highly preferred Extensive knowledge of classic and cotemporary cocktail preparation Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Multilingual abilities highly preferred Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Capable of maintaining composure during peak hours Ability to work in various weather conditions for outdoor events Excellent communication skills Flexible to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and in a team environment
