If so, we want to hear from you! About Us Liberty Personnel is partnered with a leading publicly traded company headquartered in Houston. We are a growing and dynamic organization with a commitment to excellence. Our tax department plays a vital role in our success, and we are looking for a talented and motivated Income Tax Accountant to join our team. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze complex income tax provisions under ASC 740 (both domestic and international). Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns. Research and analyze tax law updates to ensure compliance and identify potential tax benefits. Maintain detailed tax records and documentation in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations. Work collaboratively with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Accounting) to ensure accurate tax reporting. Support the external audit process by providing information and responding to inquiries. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or actively pursuing CPA licensure. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in income tax accounting, preferably within a large corporation or Big 4 Public Accounting Firm. In-depth knowledge of ASC 740 accounting standards. Strong understanding of US GAAP tax principles. Experience with tax accounting software (e.g., corporate tax software). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
