Overview
Intake Specialist - Customer Service Referral Center:
The CSRC Intake Specialist receives calls from people seeking behavioral health and/or medical services, verifies eligibility for the services, and schedules initial intake appointments.
Responsibilities
Receives incoming calls
Determines whether requested services are available.
Determines availability of funding source to support requested services.
Schedules client appointments, verifies funding source data, and obtains required authorizations.
Creates Referral Demographic documents in EHR system.
Scans/Emails copies of faxed referrals and client information to the various sites' receiving parties.
Enters client information into tracking spreadsheet.
Remains aware of agency Intake capacity limits and assists clients with accessing appropriate outside resources during those times when intake services may be closed or limited.
Performs other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
Schedules Transportation was necessary.
Conducts reminder calls for appointments as needed.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Bilingual in Spanish & English strongly preferred.
Pay Differential offered.
Eligibility & Enrollment experience preferred.
Previous experience working with DCS preferred.
Experience using NextGen EMR preferred.
Previous customer service or call center experience desirable.
Must receive/maintain DPS fingerprint clearance.
