Smith The Opportunity Orlando Health announces an exceptional opportunity for an exemplary leader to serve as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Assistant Vice President, Orlando Health. The healthcare system is recognized for Central Floridas only pediatric and adult level I trauma program and the nations largest neonatal intensive care unit. For fifteen consecutive years, UNSWR has ranked OHAPH on its Best Childrens Hospital list in multiple pediatric specialties. Job Description & Requirements Chief Nursing Officer Start Date: ASAP The Role Reporting to Justin Williams, President OHAPH, the CNO will serve as the Chief Nurse Executive and a member of the executive leadership team. The role involves leading nursing practices, developing a strategic vision, fostering professional excellence, and working with the executive team to meet organizational goals. Direct reports include the ACNO, Director of Care Management, and other senior nursing staff. Ideal Candidate Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, with a focus on patient care and organizational goals achievement. Bachelors in Nursing from an accredited institution and a Masters Degree in Nursing and/or a related field. Experience in quality management, medical management, administration, and operational finance. Current RN licensure in Florida or ability to obtain it. Leadership experience in a pediatric setting is required. The Organization Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children (OHAPH) has 156 beds, nearly 200 pediatric subspecialty physicians, and 75 advanced practice professionals. It has been recognized as a national leader in pediatric care, consistently ranked in USNWRs Best Childrens Hospitals list and recognized for excellence in nursing care through Magnet Recognition. The Region Orlando is renowned for theme parks like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando, and is a hub for industry including technology, aerospace, and entertainment.
